Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX) will hold its 4th annual Smart Growth Summit: Creating Complete Communities, August 27 and 28, 2009 at the Shaw Center for the Arts in downtown Baton Rouge. The Summit on Smart Growth has become the premier event for promoting quality planning and design in Louisiana.

Last year’s summit was a tremendous success, attracting more than 500 attendees each day and garnering an unprecedented amount of media coverage. The 2009 Summit will target Louisiana elected and appointed officials; planning practitioners, such as developers, architects, engineers and planners; and citizen and activist groups. It will include presentations and discussions on such topics as international water planning, green construction, mobility and transportation, roadway connectivity, energy policy and the effects of Smart Growth on the global economy.
AICP Certification Maintenance Credits will be offered at the summit. Other continuing education credits will be provided as well. For inquiries regarding Continuing Education please contact us.
