Homeowner Rehabilitation Program
The Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX) is offering a Homeowner Rehabilitation Grant Program to assist in the repair and updating of existing owner-occupied homes within Old South Baton Rouge and Scotlandville communities. The program seeks to preserve the quality of the neighborhoods, expand the supply of safe, affordable housing, and help homeowners carry out and maintain home improvements. Low-income homeowners may qualify for up to $25,000 in home repairs. The application contains program details, eligibility requirements, maps of the neighborhoods'' boundaries and, if applicable, Project Development Areas (PDA). Eligible home rehabilitation activities include the repair, rehabilitation, or reconstruction of homes in order to bring houses up to compliance with applicable federal, state, or local codes/ordinances, as well as improve efficiency and handicapped accessibility.
